This coverage is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Company of Canada and is now available through a newly built, easy to use online portal, on the Sports Refund Canada website, giving families, organizations, and event participants a reliable way to protect their financial commitments. Whether it’s a youth sports tournament, a community event, or an individual’s participating in a major competition, unexpected cancellations and interruptions can create both disappointment and financial loss. Historically, if an athlete was injured and could not complete the season, their family would have to bear the disappointment of a season incomplete and a dream unfulfilled, in addition to the loss of any non refundable registration fees. Now Chubb has partnered with Sports Refund to help families and athletes to purchase coverage directly and with confidence, to help them when the unexpected happens.
This product will also be offered in the near future through Chubb Canada brokers and on various event registration platforms, making it widely accessible for families and organizations across the country.
